2. determine explicit action or sequence (SAT 9)
3. determine explicit causes or effects fro events
4. determine problems and solutions in text
5. extract implicit theme or main idea
6. interpret character traits, motivation, or behavior
7. made predictions based on text
8. provide support for conclusion
9. identify characteristics of genre
10. determine author’s intended audience
11. determine unknown words from context
12. apply text structure to reading task
13. select an appropriate reading strategy in a given situation
14. set purpose for reading
15. determine explicit sequence or action
16. distinguish important from less-important ideas
17. draw conclusions from details
18. form hypotheses from ideas in the text
19. interpret figurative language
20. analyze author’s purpose, assumptions, or viewpoint
